Feliz Navidad!! We're back from Cancun!

We just returned from our wonderful Zobrist family trip to Cancun, Mexico! We all had so much fun playing in the warm, beautiful, turqoise water, seeing the ancient temples of Chichen Itza, scubadiving in the Cenotes, (which are basically fresh water sink holes, and they are full of stalagmites and stalagtites and are "spectactular" as the Mexicans say it...,) going on a mini submarine ride, and just relaxing! The weather was perfect and we all enjoyed each others company! Here are some pictures from our adventure!....

Book Review #14: A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini

I loved this book! It was heartbreaking the majority of the time, but was written so well, and was so thought-provoking even a week and half later, that it was hard not to love! This author really gave me a new prospective of the middle east, mostly Afghanistan, and an understanding of the people, and their way of life. I can't get over it, and I can't stop thinking about the characters. Thank you Tara Hatch for recommending it! It was truly amazing. But for those of you who decide to read it....beware! It's incredibly heart-wrenching and sad--but good! I promise! My rating...A!

Book Review#13: In Seach of Eden by: Linda Nichols

I was in need of a book and saw this one at Wal-Mart, knowing nothing about it, and grabbed it off the shelf! It turned out to be pretty good! You can tell the author is an devout Christian, because the whole book has Christian under tones. It basically reads like a movie. I wouldnt be surprised to see it in the theater someday. It was pretty much a sweet and happy book, with a few good twists! I would recommend it for a light and easy read! My rating....B+

I need to install a zipper on this child's mouth!

I debated whether or not to post these for the world to see, mostly because they're somewhat offensive, but I thought, what the heck! Lily has become a little chatter box, and repeats almost everything she hears but mostly at the most perfect, or imperfect time! :-) She learned the word Vagina. She says it all the time! We'll be at dinner and it's perfectly quiet, and she'll yell it at the top of her lungs! If you ask her a question, she'll answer with it, etc! It's funny, and shocking especially to those who haven't heard her say it, and we always have to supress our laughter so she won't continue! It's crystal clear, and there's no mistaking what she's saying! So there's that. Another embarrassing story: Jake, Lily and I were at Macaroni Grill and there we some big ladies sitting behind us--And I mean big, like 600 lbs! She kept looking back at them, and I could just see the wheels in her head spinning. Then, to our horror, she points and says, "Big, honkin' lady!!" Oh man, I almost fell off my chair, and I had to get up and leave in fear that my laughter would provoke her again! Everyday there is something new she says that has me cracking up!! I love her to pieces, but sometimes you just wish there was a mute button!!
